• IDR (Frances):
  • IDR at UoD infrastructure released yesterday. Only OME-Zarr images are now viewable. Plan to convert all remaining images.
  • Downloadable original files storage being migrated to FIRE object store
• OMERO
  • Seb: Development & Continuous Integration
    • Merging/releases on hold until integration tests are running
    • Ongoing work to restore the Jenkins services at UoD
    • JM: running, but space is limited - WIP
    • Seb: If not back up by end of week, we should notify the community
  • Andreas: OMERO.web
    • Better indication when a user lacks access to data via a direct link
• Bio-Formats
  • Melissa: working on 9.0.0
  • forum.image.sc LIF threads: please discuss with BF team before jumping in. formats slack channel is best, or general or direct messages.
  • Maven Central (Seb)
    • Introducing limite introduced for high-volume publishing activities. Currently in soft-limit phase, enforced from August 11, 2026 - https://central.sonatype.org/publish/maven-central-publishing-limits/
    • Currently relevant for the low-level Bio-Formats components
    • Working towrads the publication of the Bio-Formats and the OMERO.server Java artifacts to Maven Central
    • draft request for extension the default limit for the org.openmicroscopy organization
• NGFF
  • 0.6rc0 release planned this week. Pending changes to merge mostly for better phrasing, etc.
  • Remaining “real” change to the spec: New projectAxis transform to add or drop axes in transformations
• GerBI
  • Entering the holiday phase :)
    • including Chris (transformnd), Tiago (ngff website) etc.
  • Tiago: we’re in the process of hiring new GerBI team members
